Travel diary. 1867-1875.

A travel diary of a trip to Europe in 1867 and a trip to the Bahamas in 1875. The writer was a well traveled women; previous trips to Paris, Scotland, and Cuba are mentioned. For both trips she includes photographs, some taken by herself. At the end of the book are very brief notes of trips to Italy, France, German, and England. The first pages of the book seem to be missing and it begins June 19, leaving Venice for Padua. She appears to be traveling with her mother and a larger party; she mentions "the girls" meeting them along the way at times. She writes of using a Baedeker guide and most of the journal is of sights and experiences. On Sept. 8, she records seeing Garibaldi arriving in Geneva for peace talks and the cheering crowds. She mentions touring the Exposition in Paris later in September. The trip to Bermuda was March 23-May 21, 1875. She writes of scenery and flora and fauna and Paget Church. At the end of the book is a Memorandum 1875-1878 naming the writer as Annie; updating events of some of the family and/or travelers and detailing Annie's lingering illness and death.
